Plus I just had the hugest lunch at Delicious where all the girls ganged up to skip the main course and order only desserts. We must have ordered every single item off the dessert menu. I must say their Peach and Banana Crumble with Vanilla Ice-Cream is to die for. Yums…

I’m sure I’ve seen that movie, but I don’t really remember much of it. I do recall one of the actresses was a Canadian Chinese who acted with Ewan MacGregor in “The Pillow Book.” Weird, how memory works sometimes… lines that connect one thing to the next… a maze of trivia.

I have marks on me … but not so much beauty marks as in cuts and acne scars and old age + liver spots… all sorts of ewww-y signs of aging and all round unsavouriness. But my darling doesn’t complain (much) beyond thrusting the latest in male cosmetic moisturiser products onto me, so I guess it’s okay.

Thanks, but no, I’m not a graphic designer in the full-time sense anyway. I’m completely self-taught and will do assignments for clients on a case-by-case basis. It doesn’t pay the monthly bills though. Just feeds the passion.
I like how you interspersed the woman’s face with the Chinese designs. Is it architecture or calligraphy? I noticed the picture on the front page of the blog is slightly different from the picture on this post too.

I actually took some snapshots of some antique window details from an old Malaccan Hokkien clan house and layered it over the front page’s picture. I reduced this effect for the picture featured on the post proper so that there is a softer, not so abrupt effect, so the girls (or, girl, singular, as it were) have this elegant Old Shanghai feel to them.
No calligraphy were used for this particular design though I’ve applied them in the past. See if you can spot which posts!
