Secawan kopi
Setiap pagi
Senyuman gadis
Begitu manis

A cup of java
Each and ev’ry morn
A smile from the Diva
Is sweetly borne.

    You got it! ;)

    Betul ke senyuman gadis memikat
    Hati pembaca yang berbeda?
    Kalo ade pisang sesikat
    Kehangatan hati bisa bereda…

Is truly so her smile so bewitching?
For the readers have hearts differing
If you have a comb of bananas ready
Our heart’s passion may grow steady…

Okay, methinks that is a worse pantun, but I had to try, rite? :P

    This lady doesn’t sing
    Just wears bling-bling
And if she forgets her weekly waxing
    Your date may be hair-raising!

(She’s so killing me for that one, yikes!)

    » Jeffer
I see them nearly every weekend. Imagine my regularly scheduled horror. :P

  • monday and kopi kuat sure goes hand in hand..hmm, when are you posting one with hunk sipping coffee instead? the ladies need some eye candy too ya know? :p

    » Michelle
Yes, we call her Kuching Woman also. She loves cats but they have a tendency of running away from her though. I shall leave the WHY to your respectives imaginations…

  • a cup of kopi is good anytime of day… or NITE. me a nite owl u see. :D

  • ehemm.…. Kenny dear… you are so dead!!!!
Next I meet you I make sure I’m going for a makeover first.

See you on Sunday for breakfast.

    Love yeah.….

I used to be a night owl too, till I began a relationship with a morning sparrow. Now I’ve joined the other team. Daylight ain’t too bad, once you get used to it. ;)

    » Nisa
Hehe, didn’t you already put on loads of makeup for this post (grieving as you did, that you went raw and unfurnished/unfinished for the last post at Finnegan’s)? Now wanna makeover some more ar?

When are you gonna see the true beauty in you, m’dear?

  • Kenny Mah wrote:

    » Nisa
P.S. This Sunday I’ll be down South lah. JB Mali. Dinner instead?

    there’s a song:
kopi susu kurang manis tambah gula
    badan lesu, kerana hati tergoda.

  • Kenny Mah wrote:

    » Selene
Hahaha!! So smart har you, add that second question. Yeah, I don’t really drink that much coffee these days. Give me a cuppa sugarless, unmilked (unmilked? surely I mean non-dairy?) green tea any day. What brew? No preferences lah. I’m a very ordinary fler. Just don’t add those roasted rice stuff into my matcha…

    » sukiyaki
    Secawan kopi gadis cukup manis
    Dua cawan macam dibakar mancis…

A cuppa joe keeps the girl sugary sweet
Two cups though, can give you burnt feet… (???)

Gosh, someone stop these pantuns NOW! :P

I mean, TRIED to post this earlier!

Pls delete the above comment. Buat malu saja.

A verse from an old song:

Kopi susu, kurang manis tambah gula,
    badan lesu, kerana hati tergoda.

  • That wee poem in Malay made me smile.… but I still think you’re slightly buaya hehehee

The Diva herself must be perplexed
Of what men wants of the fairer sex
No clue of what they desire the mostest
So she reckons, best tame this forest?

(I am SO dead. So DEAD, I tell ya.)

    » kak teh
That’s a nice verse. Old songs are the best, aren’t they? Full of ancient rhythms and lost lustiness. I’ll attempt a reply —

Kopi hitam, lebih pahit lebih terasa,
Hati tergoda kerana susu si ga…

    Uhm, maybe I shouldn’t finish this pantun else it’d head into 18SX territory… :P

    » Jesse
No lah, I where got buaya one? She’s my best friend ma… I’m just promoting her to all the eligible menfolk around the blogosphere. Who knows? I might be able to claim some sorta bounty hunter, er, matchmaker fee. :P

  • Kenny Mah wrote:

    » Keith
No lah, release stress ma… It’s only pantuns, not epic Tolkienesque songs in Elvish, mind you. :P

  • oooh … i am gonna have my Nescafe Gold Blend now.
a bit late, to kickstart the day,
but aint too late to jolt myself for the impending week.

    » kristian
Quickly! Run, run, while you still can! Do not, I repeat, DO NOT look into her eyes!!

    » Calypso
Nah, no need for rhymes when your lines tell the truth. Guys, though, are easier… We only need one thing all day long. No prizes for guessing. Ahem.

Wouldn’t be easier just to get an intravenous coffee drip connected directly with the espresso machine? :P

    » Poh Chu
Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Yuppers. I cheat on Starbucks ever so often with CBTL & San Francisco Coffee. I know, I’m soooo unfaithful.

  • Poh Chu wrote:

i prefer coffee bean to starbucks. brighter and easier to sit and do work. starbucks is more for lounging around. too comfortable for work.

  • Kenny Mah wrote:

    » Poh Chu
Ah, to each their own. I would agree that Starbucks would be more of a fav for chillin’ out and a relaxing yak-athon with close friends.

But these days, there are so many coffee chains and franchises to choose from. I remember the day when I stumbled upon a local rip-off of another local rip-off of an international chain and I realized it was beyond ridiculous. :P

  • haha, i know which one ur talking about. Old TOWN or Old TASTE? =P

Burn your lips and remember me!

It was years ago yet I remember this little 2 liners in my school days esp. when friends need to part. These beverages are for reminiscing good times! Enjoy and it’s ok to smile even when alone.

  • caffeine comes in many forms, eh?

throw in some sugar, a cute poem, a gorgeous girl and you’ll get a nice post like this! :)

  • no lah… lionel ritchie sang “all NITE long” not “all WEEK long”

    lol

Perhaps the Diva has her chorus
Of boys running thru her forest
But I have to stop these verses
    Or she’ll send me curses!

Oh, you should see the text messages she’s sent me from this comment thread! Hehe.

    » Chin
Haha, I rather remember you without the burnt lips. Unless it’s someone’s kiss burning me…

And it’s definitely ok to smile when one is alone. ‘course, other folks may think you’re nutso though.

    » Nic (KHKL)
Oh, the Diva is like good, strong shot of caffeine all rght. She’ll keep you up all night long. *sniggers at wintergirl’s comment*
