It’s one of the wonders of the world, and it’s part of the country I call home. Truly beautiful…

  • mer-man! loose the clothes and grow a fish tail… !

  • ahhh i’ve never been to borneo land before…
such a pretty place, so picturesque!

    :)

  • Turquoise azure sea. Golden yellow hue horizon. Half seen through my eyes and half imagined through my mind. You don’t need a brilliant picture or subject:-)

  • I remember the waters at Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park as crystal clear and so so so beautiful.

    Did you go there?

  • hahah .… so pale. like the ocean.

had i been lying on the beach, i’d freaked out .… =P

    just jokin.

  • What a dreamy, mythical-looking backdrop! Don’t blame you for looking like you just wandered into a dream!

  • the innocent & determined young lad looks like going somewhere far. those beginning big steps are encouraging indeed

  • Do you know the feeling of falling in love all over again? That’s how I felt when the plane was about to land when I visited Sabah some years ago. I didnt realise our country has such beautiful places . I fell in love with our country right then, all over again.

  • Hey!!! Watch out!!! On your left side of the beach (bottom right side of pic) got an alien.. Can you see its eyes, brows, nose & mouth??? :P

I can’t wait to hit Sarawak and Kalimantan next and fulfill the full breadth of Borneo… Picturesque doesn’t begin to describe its beauty. *sighs*

    » Chin
Love your comment, and it’s true… What we see and what we remember creates the best memory ever…

No sea quite as blue, no sun quite as golden…

No, haven’t gone there. But I do plan on being back soon and bring family/friends with him, to share and breathe in the beauty of Sabah. :D

Cheh, I got so pale meh? What to do, when the sun was out and I could have tanned my alabaster skin, I was stuck indoors in meetings… Sedih, kan? :(

Wandered into a dream? I just wish I never ever left this perfect dream…

    *speechless*

  • Hey, I haven’t been here on your blog for quite some time already. Suddenly the title caught my eyes.…is that really you on the Sutera Harbour beach? This one place, my favourite spot I can never get tired of ! Spending almost every weekends there is such a bliss. I am proud to be a Sabahan.
    :)

By the way , hope you had fun!
    Heehe ;)

“Do you know the feeling of falling in love all over again?”

    I do, actually.

More like I wanted to share this land with my greatest love and make that love something earthy and more grounded and at the same time floating on air like the dreams that come when you are, again that word, in love.

I had not been there two hours when I was already thinking, When can I come here again?

That’s not an if but a when. ;)

    » Jemima
    Where got alien?

*looks closely at bottom right corner*

    AAREGGRGRGGHHHH!!!! ALLLIIIEEENNNN!!!

    *runs away and hides*

Hey, welcome back! I guess the title does say it all, no? So glad to have a Sabahan visiting my blog. I finally understood why you are so proud of your state… and always return to it. It’s beautiful. I know it’s utterly overused, but it’s true. Beautiful.

I so envy you, spending almost every weekend there. We should catch up there the next time I visit KK. :)

  • Jemina is right, that alien on the sand, is that faked? so scary..

Good Friday, lost in the island freaking out what to do next.
Take a plane back to modern KL !!!

  • Kenny Mah wrote:

Fake lah, if real alien, I’ll be halfway to Mars by now! (Instead, I’m stuck in Port Dickson.)

Can’t wait to return to Modern KL, but I’m due to be in Not-So-Modern Sintok next… :P

Sunrise. The photographer insisted that we headed down to the beach despite my complaints we were gonna get our feet wet, well, my feet wet, to which she replied, That’s THE point.

    Well.

I had fun. She was right. Bugger.

  • Kenny, if you look closely at bottom right of the photo, do you see two ‘cat’ eyes with a wide grin? Almost like cheetah/tiger or family of big cats? Gosshhh!!! Am i imagining things???

  • Kenny Mah wrote:

Har? Cat eyes pulak now? First aliens, then my colleague said she saw a monkey from the Planet of the Apes, and now cats? Cheetah/tiger some more… You flers very the imaginative lah… :P

Heh. Probably. Just the pic, no words (aside from the credit) this time. I’m kinda wandering from state to state across the country for work so it’s hard to get my head into a place where I can write.

And maybe I don’t want to. Sometimes it’s nice just to d-r-i-f-t. Yeah…

  • Re your reply to Jencooks.. “if real alien, I’ll be halfway to Mars by now! “.. I thought that’s where you & all the other men are from.

Simba’s uncle is Scar.. Jeremy Irons pulak.

  • Stories from the city, we’ve heard.
Now, stories from from the sea we await. :)

  • I have no idea of the name cos me no fan of Lion King. But as long as you get what i meant ;)

  • Sabah?
    *jealous..

This is whyyyyy I need to fast-forward my life, you know.
Make money, and travel, travel, travel… and eat, eat, eat.

Stuck in home is plain boring.
Stuck in piles of assignment is ultra-boring.

    geez.

  • hahaha dreamy like…

You big (fellow) fan of PJ Harvey, you. :D

    » Precious Pea
Hehe, I do. Jemima says it’s Scar, by the way. You believe her ar?

    » moja
Fast forward? Enjoy your YOUTH first, my boy. The money, travel and eating part can wait… For some of us (looks at myself), it never comes also. :P
