It’s Friday the thirteenth. Not a good number to start our night off with but tomorrow wouldn’t do. They say Valentine’s Day is for lovers, but not when you have your own spouses to attend to.
We have to be careful. I abandon my car, and take public transport instead. The train. You pick me up at the Central Station. I slip into your car quietly, there is no smile of recognition. We could just be any two people heading out for a business dinner, for a professional appointment. Except there is nothing professional about this, beyond the perfectly choreographed routine, the text messages deleted immediately upon dispatch, the dark shades of our attire a black mirror of our clandestine deeds — no, there’s nothing here but a play of amateurs, fumbling in a theatre of our own lust and distrust and the fear that it will all surely end, and end badly.
But this is not a time for endings yet. The night is just beginning, young and cruel, full of promises waiting to be broken and soft lies to be whispered in your ear, in mine. The maître d’ guides us to a table with dishes still empty — who knows what will end up on our plates, our lips, our very hungry bellies? We hope to get fed tonight, and with something more than simply good food to sustain us.
By candlelight warm and waxing, by the crisp spark of wineglasses lingering against each other, we sit and wait. We have all night.
.

I’ve never been superstitious of Friday the 13th ‘coz I was born on one.
I find this post a sexy read. I meant it when I commented previously that you’re a really great story-teller, Kenny.
*serenades to Kenny & the love of his life*
Chanson d’amour, ra da da da da, play encore.
Here in my heart, ra da da da da, more and more.
Chanson d’amour, ra da da da da, je t’adore.
Each time I hear, ra da da da da, Chanson, chanson, d’amour.
Ra da da da da
Ra da da da da
Chanson d’amour, ra da da da da, je t’adore.
Each time I hear, ra da da da da, Chanson, chanson, d’amour.
Every time I hear
Chanson, chanson, d’amour.
*curtsies & exits*
Candlelight dinner huh..you will always expect what gonna happens next, a goodbye kiss or just not going back. Don’t you agree? :p (I know what would you answer me for this, haha)
Gulp.
I nearly thought this is some edison-chen-like scandalous liaison.
pheww.
Travelling?
I Love going places. Kinda busy with project, hopefully will have opportunity to represent Malaysia in Berlin in October!!
ahhh…finally i get to read ur posts again..the last few days of Streamyx prob made it impossible to load ur pages on my laptop..but judgin frm the responses to ur post. seems that moi only one havin tat prob???!
This post.. sent a thrill up my spine — such sexy undertones!
Of course you’re no adulterer. Why go shopping when you have a mall at home already?
Somehow I feel grateful that I am NOT on streamyx. HAHA
And this post is making me drool with borderline starvation. DARN! And I am now in Sierramas with like NO DELIVERY SERVICE whatsoever.
Hence, I nod down in despair and as my tummy grumbles in an anorexic fit.
“An affair with beautiful memories, two lives entwined to share and space to grow with true love’s caress is all worth it, I say!”
scandalous indeed…
what happen to breakfast in bed?
encore?!
Sweet nothings, eh? So how was dinner? How did the night end? hehe “wink”
chocolat, champagne, chanson…woah, so the creative la you!
“Girls in red riding hoods must walk in dark woods and wolves must howl.” so true lah.…i think we have another term for that: cari pasal…haha!
ok, i know about this dinner but still, it’s very mostly nearly Hide and Seek Part Deux for me…
A lovers’ tryst, the walls have ears and watch out for the fly on the ceiling!
You went to Moxie??? When? When?? Can I share this post with Param and Johan?
And how’s Leonardo’s? I spend way too much time at Moxie’s to discover Leonardo’s
“No, I want to whet your desire, to bait your hunger and make it a meal for us. I want you to taste what we could taste like, a fusion of sinful flavours, a palate fit for purgatory. I want to wet your lips, with your tongue, with mine, to crave for what is to come. What will surely come. Always is my promise.”
“We are lovers with no songs. There was never any tune that could decipher our mysteries and our deceits.”
My two favorite parts–
this was a sexy read I agree-though I think sensual may be a better word…but a delicately balanced one, well done.…appealed to my senses intensely and the good and bad of my (unspoken) intentions…what do you do when you fantasize about a night so rich with a person that, isn’t yours?
“The taste is smooth and smoky, like a kiss from a woman I’m not married to, wrong and wonderful.
We are both wicked and so good for each other.”
sigh.
Don’t be cruel to leave us in suspense for too many days…all of us want to know the ending and we are waiting and waiting
oooooooooooooooooooooooooo…
so sexy… but i think it is tooo hot to handle… i better leave… LOL
“After all, aren’t entrées for play?”
Indeed, indeed. Play seems to grip us from within, relentlessly, exposing all our foolish tendencies, as pedestrian as frappe. I know this is fictitious, but jesus, how well you remind us of truth! Don’t stay away too long, Kenny!
Bwaaaah, Kenny you make me sad lah!! Eh, is creme fraiche really slutty? Actually, come to think about it… ya lah, you’re right. Quite slutty. *nod nod*
oh how that this be offensive!! It is a romantic and sexy read for sure! Ohhh.. not to mention those pretty dishes that go with it.….….….
Aiyayaya… I actually just gonna apply for the Tasmanian Girl but I guess the position is no longer vacant! hahaha.…
O.M.G.
Now it’s out in the open. Hahahaha.
soooo scandalous and cynical my friend!
good to read your notes that you don’t actually hate valentine’s day that much! lol
how was hanoi? want to see photos and read stories of hanoi!! hehe (very demanding now ain’t i?)
i’ve been to sarawak twice for work, so i didnt really get to do much sight seeing. but from what little i’ve seen, i do like the place. one thing i noticed — its very clean! have a safe trip!
love the instalments… keep it coming!
such a seductive story of the seducer… and the seductress!
more sexy stories like this, please?
really an affair to remember!
after chocolat, champagne and chanson.… what’s next? champignon? lol
“The night is just beginning, young and cruel, full of promises waiting to be broken and soft lies to be whispered in your ear, in mine.”
Sometimes Kenny I wish u can write like this forever. Sighs, so romantic.
Glad Moxie is part of ur story dude
ur going all frenchie on us… love affairs and torch songs…
So is this a true story?
Your life has passed the beginning steps and now is slowly but surely flowing strong inwards outwards into the realm of tomorrows of provocative desirous emotions cool warm hot fiery , who knows faster & more furious than the ones before…
…take good care my friend for behind those closed & open colors lie the absolute meaning of the things you thought you will be seeking but have no fear
what a sexy dinner date! and so notty, with a married woman too!
May these candles always burn bright…
merci pour la bonne info
So touching — you might be the first reader to sing to me.
*ponders for half a sec*
Eh, no lah. I’m pretty sure someone else did too. Aiya… Getting old oredi… Cannot remember.
Your rendition is pitch perfect by the way. Fits the story like a silken glove.
Haha, you terrible fler. For that, I’m so not gonna answer you. Not here anyway. Hahaha…
Edison Chen? That fler’s got nothing on me. LOL
But yeah, I’ll be buzzing all over the country soon so watch out for more travel posts this year! And all the best with Berlin in Oktober! Hope you get to represent Malaysia and do us proud, bro!
I don’t think it’s just you, mate… Most of us around the country are having Internet problems due to some underground cables being disconnected or something. Ah well… I guess we have to bear and grin with it for now.
(“Bear and grin with it?” Eh, dah salah somehow tu…)
And thanks for thrilling up your spine!
Hehe, and this mall being the Great Eastern Mall, I suppose? What if I wanted something Italian, something French for a change?
Poor Josh. A world without delivery service just means you get to go out there in the Big Bad World yourself and explore what’s good to eat, and what’s not. Yes?
LOL… That’s right: cari pasal, indeed. Tee hee. Ah well, you have to take your hats off to me, mates… I did get the girl to dump not one, but two men to join me for a date that nite.
How did the night end? I’ll leave that for another story, another day… *wink*
Breakfast in bed? Now that’s another naughty idea…
The fly on the ceiling? Fly or a hidden camera? :p
Oh of course, go ahead, share share.
Leonardo’s is surprisingly very well set-up for a restaurant only in its first week (when we went). The staff were a tad blur cos they were new but very enthusiastic and friendly so lots of brownie points from me for that.
Go and see for yourself… I love the cod.
Thanks, dear. It’s been a long time since our Livejournal days when I wrote more vignettes and stories that appealed to our sensual side. Here’s to more to come, hopefully.
Ah but some endings are best left to the readers’ own vivid imagination, don’t you agree?
Oh no! Don’t leave… I’ll make the next one very, very unsexy…
As pedestrian as frappe? Oh, what a lovely turn of phrase, what a lovely vision…
Won’t stay away for too long, promise.
Tee hee hee. Can’t believe you caught on to that. And what’s more, agreed!
Hmm, some how I thought more folks would take offence at a story about an affair… but I guess it goes to show, I don’t really know …
Them dishes, sure are pretty, aren’t they? But no… this still ain’t a food blog, haha…
Nah… you can always be my Tasmanian Girl…
And it suits us just fine, right? Cos we’re very open hor? Hehe.
I’m still in Sarawak now and definitely no sight-seeing. Just work, work, work. I’ve seen the night when I arrived yesterday and the sun + rain today. That’s about it.
As for Hanoi, hehe… I might delay that a bit lah… so busy. Maybe do a shorter post till I have time to go through the hundreds of photos from Vietnam.
P.S. YES! East Malaysia as a whole is just so much cleaner than Semenanjung!
Ahh… but this is the last part… How could there be more?
share d
hmm…leonardo’s…let’s see who wants to volunteer to take me there
ha I knew it
Oh you will have a battalion of guys lining up to take you out lah… I can see them winding around the block di… Hehe.
Of course you did, my dear. Doesn’t everyone?
i will sing for you too… but i dun know french. how?
i think u can make even edison blush, hahaha.
wat’s next? some vietnam stories?
wah terror lah u… aren’t u afraid the 2 men will come after u?
Btw, I really enjoyed this story, true/not.
In the words of Jesse’s grandfather, ok… to answer that, would take the piss out of the whole thing.
Thanks! That makes me happy.
P.S. Brownie points to anyone who can guess, who Jesse (see comment below) is…
Nothing wrong with going all Frenchie, bro… esp. when you start with their kisses…
Oh, not as glad as I was to have dined at Moxie’s even if it’s just for desserts. Heck, esp. the desserts!
Writing forever would make one’s wrist ache considerably, no?
Hahaha… Champignon! I actually thought of that, but an entire post on mushrooms? I think that’s beyond even me, man…
I knew it. Sex sells. LOL
They can try…
No lah, both guys are wonderful people and wouldn’t want to harm innocent ol’ me… I think…
Supposedly. But them Hanoi photos are still sitting untouched in my hard drive, so don’t hold your breath, folks!
Aww… just your sweet voice alone would mesmerise me, don’t matter what language it’s in. Heck you could just read from the telephone directory…
Man, dude, bro… your comment alone is more ‘provocative’ than my entire post! LOL
Hehe, hey… it’s just a dinner date, what’s so naughty about that? It’s what happens after dinner that you should wonder about… Hehe.
Sabah and Sarawak is cleaner because these states are less developed. Less pollution, less noise, less crime. If only the natural beauty can last forever…
Amen to that, my friend. Go, go, Mother Nature!
But if they did, how would the lovers sneak around?
