I think you came across my blog via Zewt's blog, a million million blog years ago. We are like the old man/lady generation of bloggers! :P

And I eagerly await the resurrection of your blog, dear! 2010 it is, then! :D

Oh yes. :)

I find it interesting that the shortest words sometimes convey the most meaning. Yes. No. Mmm. Err.

(Incidentally, I remember reading about some author - name slips my mind, bleh - who was anxious to find out how his novel had sold, and sent a message to his publisher. The resultant conversation is a model of succinctness:

Author's telegram: ?
Publisher's reply: !

Nuff said, eh? )

Good point. Though being the garrulous fler that I am, I tend to add at least one letter and go with Y-E-S, or worse, M-O-R-E-P-L-E-A-S-E.

Words. What would we ever do without them? Less pain, maybe --- but oh so much less fun also.

*big hugs back* Sometimes language is a bowl of alphabet soup, innit? We string together words and phrases out of the murk, hoping it'll convey the meaning we attach to it. Like Michael Pollan said about the rose twigs he bought and planted, they look too fragile to have such weighty historical loads of class, wars, and distinctions attached to them.

I think words are the same way. There's almost too much power to be conveyed in a simple N-O.
