Had a late dinner after class last night with Logan, an old friend and superb debater. He’s doing a master’s degree by research in MMU and tells me our little debating community’s won the bid for next year’s Australasian Debating Championships. It has been held for several years in Australia only, and it’s cool that Malaysia’s its first stop out of Down Under in a long while.

He’s asked me to be the Convenor for the whole she-bang, which is great and a huge responsibility. I am very grateful these people still think so much of me. Unfortunately, due to my really tight schedule, it’s an impossible thing. I’m sure I’ll do something for them in one way or another. I miss debating and the whole wild spirit of it.

Oh, the fun we had!

Two years back, when we went to Melbourne for the Australasians, everyone else in our group were jetlagged at hit the beds as soon as we landed at seven p.m. Logan and I went out in a foreign city and clubbed till three. Oh yeah. More of such in days to come, I hope.
