Okay, first off, I’ve got to say I was gunning for the US, and I’m proud of how they played. They were so fuckin’ intense in the first half, and when that didn’t work, quickly changed to a more controlled game in the second. Considering soccer was practically unknown in the States till recently, they’ve come a long way.

However, having said that, the Germans were just better. I’m sometimes annoyed with the grouchy goalie of theirs, Khan, who seemed to have a fetish for his sneering glare, but he was impressive. Blue says the man is not human. But the referee really ticked me off. The rate he was handing out yellow cards, he’d run out if he actually give them to the players physically.

Yeah, but it was the after game that really rocked. The German fans out in full force in Leopoldstrasse. We practically stopped the bloody traffic. Remember, this is Munich we’re talking about. Hooting and footballs flying all over. The police even seemed happy. And Erich got tons of photos, some even with lovely ho’s.

And to think I almost didn’t come out. But Erich Wehrle on the phone doesn’t take no for an answer.
