Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi O Fortuna

Guess what? I’m listening to what Manuel’s vast yet limited .mp3 collection terms as “Classic” and it’s inspiring me to do yet another of my world-renown and widely loathed blogs. Actually it’s Carl Orff’s ‘Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi O Fortuna’, which Manuel tells me should mean “O Fortune! Empress of the World!”

Ain’t that just comple-fuckin’-lootly cool?

It’s the very famous soundtrack bit in all epic movies, you know, the part they play when armies come crashing with horses and millions prepare to die. That kinda song. Which gets me in the mood to tell you Two Momentous Things:

1. Manuel got a 1.7 in his Prozeß- und Anlagentechnik final today, which is pretty amazing, I think. A clap on his back all round. Manuel adds that it is all the more amazing cuz he only studied two and a half days for him, but I think he’s just modest and secretly desires more credit…

2. A recent conversation with the abovementioned Italian produced the following: “Do you what the difference between Marco and I? He loves his bread-knife. I love my blender.” Brilliant. Get ready for The End of the World. Guess we all know who Marco chose as his head henchman, huh?

This public service announcement was brought to you by the good people at Studentenstadt and the letters F and U. (No numbers, unfortunately; we ran out.)
