April.
The lady reporter friend of the ninja turtles (way past their adolescence now) with Italian names: Donatello. Michaelangelo. Raphael. Leonardo. And she April.
I don’t remember what their rodent master was called though. I suspect Ratty, but it doesn’t seem quite dignified, but this is an 80′s animated series we’re discussing here. Which reminds me, what has this got to do with anything?
Oh, right. Just to remind my beloved journal readers that I’m off to Italy today and that there’s possibly no posts for a good week. Pray for me, for I am travelling with two Americans in Italy. No, I don’t mean the recent threats. Just the usual hazards that come with undertaking a trip with two Mikes from Chicago.
And travel seems to be a hot thing these days. I think Belinda’s gone off to Mexico already. I hope she have a great time there. Also, yesterday I got a postcard from Hong Kong. I was wondering who, considering Mike’s here in Munich and Maria’s somewhere in Vietnam.
Turned out to be Satomi, my dear Tokyo pal, who’s staying with her Uni. of Edinburgh mate now in HK. She warns me against getting a German beer belly. As if. Everyone’s going to Hong Kong! Which is weird, cos with us leaving today, Munich’s gonna be pretty empty.
That and the shocker from my parents recently that they will be visiting Shanghai almost the same time that I’ll be in Italy. Which reminds me of J-Dawg’s parents, Joe and Linda, who’s been here for a week plus but are leaving this morning.
They’re fun, like J-Dawg, but he seems to be really uneasy when they’re in his room. I suppose all kids are. Gorn knows I padlock my room back home and no one enters, and I mean, no one. It’s prolly gathering dust and evil-looking cobwebs now that I’m here. Anyway.
So here’s wishing all my friends and family who’s flittering to and fro these days a safe journey. And have fun, or as our fashionably green heroes of the TMNT would say:
Cowabunga! Er, dude.
