Hey You

.

You lie down beside me. I hide my smile, but you cannot see it anyway; your face is turned away from me. Soon you are in light slumber, then deeper. Simple breathing affects your body. The rising and gentle falling of your shoulder tantalizes and I gulp carefully, silently. There is only moonglow and your back is like a black & white film, wordless without desire but for my constant yearning, almost content now with our proximity and my imagination. The perfect landscape with islands of enticing moles.

I sigh and try to sleep with a dream of this, of you.
