Non Si Fa Distinzione Di Sesso

Today, so far:

Mmm… Lovely dream last night. Not telling you what.

Downstairs the Famiglia Mazza were already up and about in the garden, all with the exception of that lazybones Manuel. He needed waking and Serena’s just the girl for the job. A warm latte brightened up my morning and then Manuel ambled into the kitchen. Caffè was required and caffè we had.

As his family went out for some shopping, we shot up to his bedroom. Manuel on his bed writing letters (never an easy task, as it requires thinking, I hear – I never do it myself) and me on his balcony writing. Well, more sunbathing than anything else, but details, details. Bah!

Soon, the Famiglia Mazza returned and we were called downstairs a little bit after for a smashing lunch. Pasta with four cheeses, fillets of lamb with tomatoes, and a fresh tomato salad. And cuz it was Annalisa’s birthday, a cake. With flourishes of shaved white chocolate everywhere. Colour me content. Ahhh…

I joined Manuel for some business at the bank and post office after, and then we got gelato again. I can finally confirm that there is indeed a gelato made of Nutella, quite a different animal from the Bacio, which is made directly from hazelnuts. If Marco and Giulia can remember an argument several months old, I can safely vouch now that you were both right.

Oh, and I enjoyed the gelato alla Nutella.

We headed back to the lake again, now stunning in daytime and the summer sun. Tons of Dutch holidaygoers at the camp where we looked for Claudia. Bad luck. She was on the morning shift. We got her phone number from her very nice colleague and scrambled to the beach for some rays. Flesh and foam.

Getting Claudia was much more difficult than it seemed, when faulty telephones were replaced by empty phone cards. Manuel perservered though, managing to buy a new card and we tried the phone under La Grande Tetta. Didn’t work. Tried another tit, er, telephone. Got her this time. Always cool to talk to Claudia; we seem to switch between Inglese and Tedesco so rapidly, with us being impaired in one or the other. Fun.

Anyway, we’ll prolly catch her later, though a little difficult cuz she has no car now. Something will work out. And maybe Piernicola tonight. Also, finally, momentously, got Marco in his garden with a fountain full of fellating frogs (or what sounded like that) and us two dumb kids are invited for a dip in his swimming pool in his new home tomorrow.

Life’s a blast, ain’t it?

(And you’d even think that, when it gets this good, non si fa distinzione di sesso.)
