When We Wake…

When We Wake...

.

There are some soft shells here scattered like silences across the fields, where the daisies are afraid of being treaded upon. There is no wind, only the memory of one, and so we know, this is a dream, of course. A dream we share, a dream of us. A private space we inhabit, one we cannot possess when we are awake. We are not together, don’t mean we cannot be together. We keep telling ourselves this. It’s a mantra, it’s a reminder, it’s a prayer. It’s our hope. One day, we tell each other, one day things will change and we’ll get our chance. There will be no cages, no traces, no colours, no others. One day we’ll be together, just as we are, in this dream of ours. You can tell yourselves these things, when you are dreaming. But when we wake…

Who will wake up first, we wonder?

.

For everyone who has ever told me they were in love but in despair also;
Here’s a prayer for you: May you be find joy always.

Bliss indeed. My baby just popped a slice of juicysweet orange into me mouth. Bliss indeed. Hehe.(Neither of us prepared the fruit platter though; we’ve have a visiting couple on their wedding anniversary and the lovely missus just raided our fridge. Thank God cos we’d never clean it out otherwise.)

Also we all just returned from Genting with modest but joy-inducing winnings. Anything is better than losing money, no?

  • Why do you have to wake up? :)

Such bliss! It is also ok to day-dream like those kids in the classrooms. A little (alot) of optimism is necessary in this bleak days.

    Oh but it’s not… Hmm.

  • Yes we all are, but see sometimes we are with someone but we know deep inside they are not the one we wanted to spend our whole life with. Maybe we love them but not enough to settle down with them. :( Am I confusing? :D

That’s another question methinks: How ever can we be sure that someone is that the one we want to spend our whole life with?

    (Methinks we just know.)

  • Will you wake up internationally to find out who woke up first? Hahahahahah!
    I need my sleep!

You slept at NINE-ish last nite? Wowsers. I’m officially… bedazzled. Lol.

How on earth could you still be sleepy unless you woke up before dawn itself?? :P

  • I had a nice long sleep till around 6.15 when the body decided that’s enough of sleep. Was wide awake, and then I browsed this page and all the comments talked about not waking up.

    oh, the subliminal message….

… and never knew it. Wise sentiment, that. Too often we don’t know what we have despite it being right in front of us.

    » Jun
Oh we all I have to wake up sometime, dear. Best see it as awakening to something even better, as growing and learning.

And Adelaide’s not too bad, is it? :)

  • Hi! Thanks for dropping by my blog. Yours is fantastic! Gonna come here very often.

  • what if one party ‘wakes up’ only to find the other party ‘not waking up’, forever?

i always hope to be the one in a deep sleep. :D

  • in contrary, I was having trouble closing my eyes after a horror movie yday. gee, how to have sweet, romantic dreams leh? =P

  • Kenny Mah wrote:

    Thanks!

    » Nic (KHKL)
Dude, I think you’re one of the few who sees things the way I do. The fear inherent is that if these two parties are unable to be together in the waking world and only share this space in dreams, then the one who wakes first, risks losing it all…

“…I was having trouble closing my eyes after a horror movie yday. gee, how to have sweet, romantic dreams leh?”

Uhm, imagine your beloved chasing you? Minus the bloody axe, of course. :P

  • If he’s not tossing and turning and yanking the duvet, he’s snoring like a rhinosaurus. Sigh, how?

  • Kenny Mah wrote:

In your case, dear, I guess the fun part is in waking him and when he goes “Whuh?” half-sleepily, you answer sweetly, “Oh it’s nothing; I just wanted to sleep” and proceed to dream and snore yourself.

  • Kenny Mah wrote:

    » argussimo
P.S. “RhinoSAURUS”? That bad, huh? :P

  • we need a new post sir…
this one’s making us sleepy. haha….

Okay, okay, okay… I am in the middle of planning a wedding here, y’know? :P

Will have one up latest by tomorrow, tonight if we’re lucky…

  • Ha ha, Kenny, how in the world do you spell rhino in full? Rhinoserus? Rhinosarus? Rhine-O-serious? Rhino Neal? Ryan O’Neal? (German has warped my English.)

I don’t have the heart to wake him up ‘coz oftentimes he has trouble falling asleep or staying asleep on account of thoughts reeling over work and other things.

  • Erm… I need my sleep. Been waking up every night in the middle of the night.

I believe it’s spelt R-H-I-N-O-C-E-R-O-S. But I could be wrong. I have had the German-warping experience before, but mine mostly involved apfelstrudel (which, to be fair, isn’t strictly German — more Austrian, ja?)

And you’re sweet. My baby would drop-kick me off our bed if I so much as wheeze. :P

    » jason
Here’s hoping no more insomnia for you, bro!
