What does a “housemade flowered granola” contain, you might wonder?
According to the menu, ingredients include oats, nuts, yoghurt, seasonal fruit (today it’s kiwi, strawberries and some citrus), coconut, super berry leather (which is something dark and sinister that comes out of a dehydrator but tastes rather complex and sour-sweet, altogether lovely) and a homemade compote made from blackcurrants, apples and rosewater.
Very colourful. Looks like something I would assemble, you tell me, in one of my big bowls where I throw everything together. You’re not incorrect.
Give me one with everything, as it were.
Maybe “housemade flowered granola” is another way of saying “Life’s too short not to enjoy everything all at once.” One can multi-task – or multi-taste – in a single bite.
And that bite might taste like life itself: rather complex and sour-sweet, altogether lovely.
